City of Batavia
The oldest city in Kane County remains as picturesque as when it donned the cover of the Saturday Evening Post in 1958. Once recognized as the leading windmill manufacturing community in the world, Batavia pays homage with refurbished historical windmills dotting the landscape. Batavia is also known for its rich art and culture, including the annual Art in Your Eye Festival, Water Street Studios and the Fermilab cultural series.
