Sue Vos

Sue Vos, executive director, has over 25 years of experience in the tourism and hospitality industries. As executive director, Sue steers all major functions of the AACVB including sales, marketing, finance, etc. She joined the AACVB in January of 1992.
Sue currently serves on the executive board for Visit Illinois, the state's visitor industry alliance. She recently concluded a three-year term as president of the Illinois Council of Convention and Visitor Bureaus. As an adjunct professor at Roosevelt University, Sue has taught courses in tourism management, destination marketing, and international tourism.
She also served on the state and national boards of directors for the Society of Government Meeting Professionals, as well as the state board of directors for the Kentucky Society of Association Executives.
As a seasoned tourism professional, Sue is regularly quoted by the media and is a frequent presenter/lecturer for various organizations and industry programs, such as the National Scenic Byway Annual Conference, the Society for Government Meeting Professionals and the Korean Ministry of Tourism.
Sue has won numerous awards in the industry and was recently recognized by Visit Illinois with its 2004 Government Affairs Award.
In her free time, Sue enjoys reading and interior decorating. Her favorite place to be a tourist is rural Italy.
Laurie DiBerardino

Pubic Relations Director Laurie DiBerardino brings to the AACVB over 13 years of experience in publishing. In her last venture, Laurie took on the role of editor of a B2B cosmetic trade publication-driving the division's strategy behind the scenes, while serving as the magazine's spokesperson in the industry.
During her seasoned career, Laurie has commandeered marketing and public relations initiatives for consumer and trade, magazines and newspapers, print as well as Web. She's presented talks internationally on such topics as trends and spas, and has been quoted by The New York Times, The Chicago Tribune and Pink Magazine for her industry know how.
Laurie serves on the American Business Media as an editorial committee member, is a member of the Society of Professional Journalists, the American Society of Business Editors, Women in Publishing and The Society of Professional Journalists. She sits on the Society of Cosmetic Chemists media and public relations committee.
Laurie's favorite vacation vista? The pristine salmon-tinted beaches of Bermuda.
Ellen Mueller

Ellen’s role at the CVB is behind the scenes, but very critical support staff. She not only cares for the office, but she also “CRUNCHES” numbers. She handles accounts payables and accounts receivables. She prepares and presents financial reports to the President, the Board of Directors as well as to the State of Illinois. She submits grant applications and tracks their fulfillments. She fulfills literature requests and distributes to the various Information Centers, kiosks and literature distribution centers around Illinois and sometimes out of state. She also acts as Secretary to the President/CEO.
Michelle Glosser

Encourage groups to hold meetings, conventions, tradeshows, sporting events and group travel in the ten communities we serve;
Assist groups with meeting preparations in advance to their arrival and while their meeting or event is in progress;
Initiate sales for Aurora area hotels through trade shows (ABA, Bank Travel, Heartland Travel Showcase, ASAE, TEAMS, SYTA, US Sports Congress, Affordable Meetings), lead generation through inquiries and market research, and follow through process
Implemented monthly reporting system for all hotels we serve for accurate group, occupancy, ADR, and package sales tracking for AACVB coverage hotels.
