February 1 Capitol Steps
The Capitol Steps began as a group of Senate staffers who set out to satirize the very people and places that employed them. A presidential election season means more than a busy time for politicos and journalists. It means the country’s most infamous political comedy troupe has been in the thick of it, writing songs and skits that bring out the ridiculous side of the campaign trail. Hitting both sides of the aisles equally with their incredible wit and unique performance, these equal opportunity spoofers put the “mock” in democracy. Those who complain that politics and government are good for nothing are wrong. Capitol Steps makes it clear that more often than not, they’re good for a laugh!

Bill Cosby is, by any standards, one of the most influential stars in America today. Whether it be through concert appearances or recordings, television or films, commercials or education, Bill Cosby has the ability to touch people's lives. His humor often centers on the basic cornerstones of our existence, seeking to provide an insight into our roles as parents, children, family members, and men and women. Without resorting to gimmickry or lowbrow humor, Bill Cosby's comedy has a point of reference and respect for the trappings and traditions of the great American humorists such as Charlie Chaplin, Will Rogers, W.C. Fields and Groucho Marx.
