Feb 6 - June 28 Naperville in the Age of Lincoln
Naper Settlement joins in the national celebration of the bicentennial of President Abraham
Lincoln’s birth with an exhibit about Naperville in the 1830s–1860s titled “Naperville in the Age
of Lincoln.” The exhibit will examine the everyday life of an Illinois community during this era
of sweeping national change and touch on the legacies these decades and Lincoln have
bequeathed to present-day Americans. The exhibit opens Feb. 6, runs through June 28, and is
included with admission to Naper Settlement.

Naper Settlement is throwing a weekend party for the anniversary of Abraham Lincoln’s 200th
birthday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 7 and from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 8 at Naper
Settlement. On Sunday from 3 to 4 p.m., President and Mrs. Lincoln will stroll the grounds. Join
the party with games, activities, cake and punch. Admission is $8 adults, $7 seniors and $5.50
