Art In Your Eye will take place rain or shine. No entrance fee.
Following the festival on Saturday, Art In Your Eye presents the finals for the first annual “Art In Your Ear” Amateur
Songwriting Contest. They will be held at 7:30 PM at O’Brien’s Pub, 12 N. River Street in Batavia. One block east of
the Riverwalk. The finalists for the categories: broken-heart/breakup/loved but not loved back, ballad, pop/rock,
blues and country, will have their songs performed and winners will be announced. The finalist judges are: Steve
Warrenfeltz, Kiss The Sky; Geno Brien, morning personality at 95.9 The River; and Margaret Carlson, Batavia’s
own Grammy-nominated vocalist.
The Art In Your Eye Festival is sponsored by the City of Batavia, and organized jointly with Batavia Renaissance
Project, Batavia Artists’ Guild, Batavia Park District, Batavia MainStreet, Batavia Chamber of Commerce, and
Batavia Public Library, with support from Aurora Area Convention & Visitors Bureau.
The Batavia Riverwalk is located along the west side of the Fox River in downtown Batavia, at Houston Street and
Island Avenue (one block north of Wilson Street).
