This “fair” city is home of the annual Sandwich Fair—the oldest continuing county fair in Illinois. But this is also where you’ll find the Fox Valley’s newest convention center with adjoining inn and suites. Timber Creek offers 25,000 square feet of flexible meeting space in the retreat-like atmosphere. Stroll through the charming downtown with a bounty of antique, boutique and specialty shops. Visit “Isabella,” the famous rail dining car that was featured at the Columbian Exposition and part of the train that transported Teddy Roosevelt from coast to coast.
