Hinckley Historic Homes
Five historic homes stand to represent the roots of Hinckley, Illinois. The August Bastian home (1888) has seen up to seven generations of Bastians. It is Italianate-influenced Victorian-style from the period 1877 to 1882. Family lore says sand from the basement was used to plaster the walls. Also find the Bell Winslow home (1904-5), the CC Kennedy-Maltbye home (1910), the Amelia Ramer home (1910), formerly Darnell's and the Bob Haag home (1915).
