Before she was the Carole King we know today, she was a young songwriter from Brooklyn trying to make a name for herself. Beautiful – The Carole King Musical tells the inspiring true story of King’s remarkable rise to stardom as part of the hit songwriting team with her husband Gerry Goffin and going on to become one of the most successful singer, songwriter and musicians in popular music history. Her credits include songs such as “You’ve Got a Friend,” “[You Make Me Feel Like] A Natural Woman,” “It’s Too Late,” “I Feel the Earth Move,” “Will You Love Me Tomorrow,” “So Far Away,” and many more. Along the way, she made more than beautiful music, she wrote the soundtrack to a generation.

Discover local flavor at Aurora Downtown's Food Truck Festival

Over 5,000 visitors and 30+ food trucks convene in downtown Aurora each year for the annual Aurora Food Truck Fest. This year's event includes an after-party with music by DJ Pena at Ballydoyle Aurora. Over a dozen dining destinations throughout downtown Aurora are available, too, complementing a delicious night out.

Wine on the Fox hosts the tasting event of the season

Gather with friends and family for Wine on the Fox on Saturday, May 4 and Sunday, May 5 along the banks of the Fox River in Oswego. Taste from more than 100 regional wine selections, enjoy live music and tasty local food. 

Oswego’s traditional Wine on the Fox event returns for its 18th year in picturesque Hudson Crossing Park along the Fox River! All ages are welcome, and the event is free and open to the public.

Live entertainment on will begin at 11 a.m. on May 4 and end at 8 p.m. The festivities start at noon May 5 and continue until 6 p.m.

Ukulele music brings people joy. Musicians like George Harrison, Eddie Vedder, Taylor Swift, Cliff Edwards, Jake Shimabukuro, and the late Israel Kamakawiwo’ole helped popularize the ukulele.That’s why ukes are surging in popularity: Americans bought 1.6 million ukuleles in 2019!

The City of Lights Ukulele Festival Society hosts its 7th annual ukulele festival in Aurora to bring home the joy of ukulele music to the western suburbs of Chicago. After six consecutive years at Aurora's Water Street Square, this edition of the Aurora Ukulele Festival is inside! The new location is Two Brother’s Roundhouse at 205 N Broadway in Aurora.
