Prost! Celebrating Oktoberfest in the Aurora Area in 2021

Posted on by

Hoist a stein at these upcoming Oktoberfest events, hosted by Two Brothers, Oswego Brewing Co., Sidecar Supper Club, and the Kiwanis Club of Yorkville — the latest in our #EnjoyAurora spotlight series

Oktoberfest is always a fun, festive season in the Aurora Area, due to the number of growing and popular craft breweries located here. We’re also home to Wurst Kitchen, recognized by the Illinois Office of Tourism for its dedication to the craft of providing Chicagoland with only the finest encased meats. While this Oktoberfest season looks a little different than in years past, we’re pleased to announce these upcoming celebrations of beer & brats worth traveling for.

Two Brothers Oktoberfest 2021

Sunday, September 19th — 11:30 to 3:30pm, 4pm to close

205 N. Broadway, Aurora IL 60505

Taking place over two days and at two locations, our focus will be on what you can enjoy on Sunday, September 19th at Two Brothers Roundhouse:

  • Steins full of Atom Smasher (named as a nod to nearby Fermilab)
  • Plates filled with brats, sauerkraut, and Two Brothers' signature beer brezen
  • Live oompah music all day long
  • Socially distanced Stein-holding contests
  • General merriment and good times had by all!

Enjoy Two Brothers Oktoberfest on one of two sessions at the Roundhouse here in Aurora. Visit for more event information.

Oktoberfest at Oswego Brewing Co.

Friday, September 24 through Sunday, September 26

61 Main Street, Oswego IL 60543

With a full lineup of German-themed craft beers, including hefeweizen, marzen, helles, and schwarzbier, Oswego Brewing Co. is offering its annual Oktoberfest in Oswego Downtown Friday, September 24th through Sunday, September 26th.

Pre-order a 1 liter collectible boot and join the festivities in person with delicious Wurst Kitchen sausages and live music  — with plenty of “Prost!” sprinkled in for good measure.

Oswego Brewing Co.'s Oktoberfest is free to attend. Sunday's Family Day event is back again with kids activities.

Brother Chimp Oktoberfest

Friday, September 24 through Sunday, September 26

1059 W. Orchard Road, North Aurora IL 60542

Brother Chimp Brewing is celebrating Oktoberfest at its North Aurora brewery! Join in for a weekend of music, food, and a selection of Brother Chimp's own craft German beer in a range of tasty styles. On Friday, Ryan Drendel provides the music while RKN TCO pulls up with food. Saturday brings Michael Rawls and an Aurora institution, the Gillerson's Grubbery food truck. On Sunday, watch the Bears beat the Browns at noon and snack on Duke's Dogs with music by Bollero & Ryan to kick off after the game.

Marmion Oktoberfest

Saturday, September 25

1000 Butterfield Road, Aurora IL 60502

Marmion's Oktoberfest is a great way to kick off fall for a good cause — all-inclusive tickets include delicious German food, German beer, live entertainment by the dueling piano duo from Howl at the Moon, and proceeds go to a financial assistance fund for Marmion students in need. Learn more and reserve tickets at

Kiwanis Yorktoberfest

Saturday, October 2 — 11am to 10pm

Riverfront Park, 301 E. Hydraulic Street, Yorkville IL 60560

Yorktoberfest is an Oktoberfest celebration with a Yorkville twist, featuring live music, domestic & craft beer, and family-friendly activities to keep the kids entertained all day long. The park offers wraparound views of the Fox River, and you'll enjoy Yorkville's unique fun, family-friendly day out for a good cause. Learn more at

Oktoberfest at Sidecar Supper Club & Beer Garden

Saturday, October 2nd — 1pm to 11pm

12 N. River Street, Batavia IL 60510

While Batavia's usual 3-day Oktoberfest celebration is postponed this year, Sidecar Supper Club & Beer Garden invites you to join in on a full day of delicious chef-inspired German entrees & appetizers to go along with a curated craft beer selection and merriment on the River Street woonerf in downtown Batavia. (Wondering what a woonerf is? It's a Dutch term meaning "living street," with space primarily dedicated to pedestrian use and streetside service for restaurants.)

A collection of delicious German themed beers will be poured by reps from 3Floyds, Half Acre, Penrose, and more breweries. There will be daytime music on the River Street woonerf and headlining act Magnetfunk will close out the night on the upstairs beer garden at Sidecar.

Oswego Brew at the Bridge

Saturday, October 9th — 1pm to 7pm

Hudson Crossing Park, 65 N. Harrison Street, Oswego IL 60543

Since 2012, Oswegoland Park District has coordinated an annual craft beer festival for those in love with local lager as well as those just starting out on specialty suds. Even in a year that took perseBEERance, the Park District hosted Oswego Ale-Gating in 2020. While a lot of fun, we are excited to throw off the shackles of social distancing and celebrate Illinois Craft Beer along the Fox River this October. Craft beer enthusiasts are welcome to sample beers that have captured local buzz. The festival exclusively features Illinois breweries who have earned top reputations as well as emerging Illinois breweries whose kegs are ready to blaze a new trail.

Baum's Biergarten at Gray's Mill Estate

Every day

211 N. River Street, Montgomery IL 60538

We'd be remiss if we didn't include Baum's Biergarten at Gray's Mill Estate on our list celebrating Oktoberfest in the Aurora Area. While an event has not been announced, you can enjoy Oktoberfest every day at this new attraction at the historic Gray's Mill in downtown Montgomery. This little slice of Germany offers an inviting outdoor dining experience with authentic German beers always on tap. Enjoy outstanding views of the Fox River while sipping on a Franziskaner and catching up with friends and family at Baum's Biergarten, part of the new Gray's Mill Estate dining and hospitality venue.
