A Rooted Home Brings Home Décor, Gifts, and Workshops to Downtown Batavia

The Batavia Chamber of Commerce celebrated the opening of A Rooted Home with a ribbon cutting ceremony on Thursday, June 25. The home décor store is located at 237 W. Wilson St., in downtown Batavia. Margaret Perreault, chamber president and CEO, along with Batavia Mayor Jeffery Schielke, congratulated owner Michelle Krol on opening her boutique in Batavia. Matthew Krol and four of the couple’s five boys joined the celebration. Among the other well-wishers were Patti Anselme, chamber special events coordinator; Shirley Mott, chamber communications and membership coordinator; as well as Beth Walker, Kristen Desler, and Suzy Ray of Batavia MainStreet. Also attending were Anthony Isom and Lori Botterman from the city of Batavia, chamber board members, ambassadors and fellow business owners.

A Rooted Home is a graduate of the 2025 Batavia Boardwalk Shops and was excited to find the perfect Batavia storefront for her thoughtfully curated blend of candles, books, cards, and finishing touches for your home. She recently opened a small event space within the store and is starting workshops and classes such as Beginning Mahjong in July.
