Friday, July 3: Kick Off the Celebration with Fireworks!

Aurora’s Fireworks Celebration:

Fireworks are back at RiverEdge Park!  Grab your chairs and blankets, find a spot, enjoy the music and dance away Independence Day. Enjoy all Aurora has to offer at this community FREE event. Gates open and music starts at 6 p.m., followed by fireworks at 9:15 p.m.

North Aurora’s Independence Day Celebration:

At North Aurora Riverfront Park, join the community for a laid-back picnic-style event starting at 5:00 pm. Bring your own blankets, chairs, food, and drinks—everything you need for a cozy night out. Listen to The Simple Remedy play live music from 6:00 pm till 9:00 pm. Fireworks start launching at about 9:30pm.

Milwaukee @ Kane County Cougars Baseball (July 3rd and July 4th): 

Celebrate the start of Fourth of July weekend as the Kane County Cougars take on the Milwaukee Milkmen at Northwestern Medicine Field on Friday, July 3rd. Or choose to spend your Fourth of July with the Kane County Cougars. The first 1,500 fans receive a George Washington bobblehead courtesy of Hyundai. The best part? Both of the nights cap off with a spectacular postgame fireworks.

Saturday, July 4: Parades, Community Fun, and More Fireworks!

Aurora’s Annual 4th of July Parade:

Start your morning in downtown Aurora with the city’s beloved parade! It begins at 10:00 am at Benton St. and Broadway St., winding its way to Downer Pl. and Middle Ave. For the best view, grab a spot near the David L. Pierce Art and History Center at 20 East Downer Place.

Yorkville’s Independence Day Celebration:

Get ready for an unforgettable experience as Yorkville goes all out to commemorate America’s 250th birthday during the 2026 Independence Day Celebration on Saturday, July 4th! The celebration will include Yorkville’s favorite traditions with the annual parade, local food and family activities at Town Square – all culminating to a monumental evening display! This year’s celebration will feature a brand-new patriotic FIREWORKS & DRONE SHOW that amplifies the exciting fireworks show Yorkville is known for by adding hundreds of illuminated pyrotechnic drones! This show will feature a musical soundtrack synchronized to the patriotic imagery and exhilarating fireworks to create an unforgettable experience of light, sound and celebration!

Oswego250: 4th of July Celebration​:

Celebrate America’s birthday and a major milestone in Oswego’s history during the Village’s Fourth of July fireworks celebration! In 2026 we’re honoring this moment with a community-wide celebration filled with patriotism, pride and hometown spirit.

Batavia’s Fireworks Extravaganza:

In Batavia, bring your lawn chairs and blankets for a classic suburban fireworks experience. Food vendors will be open from 5:00 to 9:25 pm (cash recommended), and the Batavia Community Band will perform before the fireworks light up the sky at 9:30 pm.

Honorable Events Prior to the 4th of July and After

Concert in the Park - 250th Anniversary of Independence (June 24th):

A special Concert in the Park celebrating America's upcoming 250th anniversary of independence. The free event will feature the Wayne Messmer Quartet, performing from 6:30-8:30P, as part of the Village's tribute to the America 250 celebration.

National reading of The Declaration of Independence​ (July 8th):

Join with citizens across the country in a simultaneous reading the Declaration of Independence at the Hinckley Community Building.
